How it Started...
I’ve always been passionate about animals. I preferred beanie babies and stuffed animals, over dolls and toys. I grew up with cats, dogs, hamsters, fish, bunnies, rats, guinea pigs, and a chinchilla named Moochie. In college, I had ferrets named Martini & Olive – think Jennifer Aniston in Along Came Polly. It would suffice to say that MY wonder years were marked by the memories of the many animals I’ve loved.
Being Peripatetic
For 11 years the wind blew me to over twenty different countries; teaching English in Ukraine, Ecuador, Spain, and Indonesia, until I decided to make Portugal my home in 2023. It’s not surprising that my favorite travel adventures always involved animals – chilling with llamas on Machu Picchu, cruising the savannah on Safari in Tanzania, and swimming with endemic sea lions in the Galapagos. These nomadic years were wonderful, but not conducive to responsible pet ownership and my heart ached for the love and companionship of animals, my own animals.
Spiritually Awakening
When the world came to a screeching halt in March 2020, my one-month trip to Bali became a year-long deep-dive into the spiritual world, exploring completely new concepts like the idea of spirit, past lives / soul contracts, and practicing meditation for the first time. What better time and place for a spiritual awakening than in BALI during a global pandemic?! I know, I know… don’t worry, I’m not going to get too much into the woo-woo now BUT I will say that the moment I started understanding these “crazy” spiritual concepts my whole perception of life changed and opened me up to a magical world of possibilities I never could have even imagined for myself.
Divine Timing
I now know, not only do our animals choose us, but they also choose the timing of when they enter and exit our lives, often for a specific reason – usually to teach, heal, guide, or assist us in some way, or simply to help us through a difficult phase of life. In Bali I found a 10-day old kitten on the side of the road and adopted him at the exact time that I took my first steps on the spiritual path. Cats are very powerful souls, and it is no coincidence that Milo came into my life at that time. My dog, Lupita, came to me after a break-up, during the most emotionally difficult period of my life and I don’t know how I would’ve coped without her and her sweet, squishy face!
How it's Going...
This is where my story gets weird but in the most magical, follow the breadcrumbs of the universe kind of way... bear with me! The story of how I became a professional animal communicator can be traced back to November 2024 during a QHHT session (Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy), a technique developed by Dolores Cannon in the 1960s. QHHT involves accessing the subconscious mind, often referred to as the higher self, to help you connect with your guides and inner wisdom. While in a trance-like state and in third person, I said, “She listened to a podcast episode over a year ago about animal communication – she’s meant to do that woman’s course.”

The Podcast Episode
I knew exactly what my higher self was talking about… when I first moved to Portugal, I listened to a podcast episode in which the host interviewed Nikki Vasconez, a lawyer who literally taught herself to telepathically communicate with animals after hiring an animal communicator to help with an issue her dog was having. Her story was incredible and really stuck with me because it demolished my long-standing belief that people have to be born psychic. I loved the interview and thought, “Wow, she has the BEST job in the world: talking to animals all day – that would be a dream come true!”

Shamanic Wisdom
Two months later, I was at a spiritual retreat center located in the dry tropical forest of Guanacaste, Costa Rica. La Senda is situated on the largest labyrinth in the world that just so happens to be made entirely of enormous cacti! Just before the Ayahuasca ceremony began, the shaman asked about the intention I wanted to set for Mother Gaia’s medicine.
Me: “I want to telepathically communicate with animals.”
Shaman: “What makes you think you can’t already?”
Me: “Because I never have before.”
Shaman: “You already can, my dear.”
Me: “Ok, well then let’s amp up the volume!”

Limiting Beliefs Be Gone
Under the stars of the labyrinth, swaying to the live indigenous music, with the healing hands of the shamans, and ayahuasca coursing through our bodies – it was the single most magical and transformative night of my life. Although I didn’t have any crazy, psychedelic experiences, plenty of people around me did. My experience was more of an energetic and literal purging of all the things that no longer served me, the limiting beliefs that kept me small and in a box. When I got back from Costa Rica, an email from Nikki's team was waiting for me, stating that her Professional Animal Communicator course was officially open for registration. I think we all know what happened next!

Giving Animals a Voice
That’s right – slowly but surely, I completed the PAC course, did more than 60 complimentary animal communication sessions to develop my skills, gain confidence and ultimately trust the messages I was receiving from the animals. I put in countless hours and a lot of hard work to become a professional animal communicator and build my business, but none of it would have been possible without Nikki Vasconez and her wonderful, comprehensive, and heart-centered PAC Accelerator course. Her mission is to amplify the animals' voices by creating as many animal communicators as possible and I couldn’t be more grateful to her and all the inspiring people I’ve met in the PAC course!

Milo’s Story
Being an animal communicator allows me to help so many people & their animal companions, but I didn’t anticipate how much closer it would bring me to my own animals. After the many telepathic conversations I’ve had with my dog and cat – I’m blown away by their wisdom, love and devotion. In July of this year, my cat Milo was hit by a car and is now in spirit. He has told multiple animal communicators, “I left my body to better assist mom with her animal communication. I will usher the souls of the animals to her and make the connection as strong as possible.” You may even hear me ask Milo to clarify a message from your animal during a session! He’s always with me, as your animals are always with you…
